YouTube post:To get to this stage it took about 4 months on and off. After this update the game has been put to a halt and i am deciding if i want to continue it. Either way be sure to keep an eye out for more content!

Looks awesome, although his head line and hand lines look a bit to dark in comparison to the body. or should I say the body and arm looks a bit to light for the rest of it, otherwise, awesome piece :)

I found this awesome alien concept art a while ago so i wanted to give a try at recreating something similar with some minor adjustments. I lost the link and cant find the original but i will re-post it if it turns up.
Once again this was just to improve my drawing skills i don't take full credit for the design.

yay, thanks guys ! Makes me feel much more confident of the art direction !
I think we're not entirely sure where this one heads, gameplaywise atm. Could be Bike Baron meets Run Chicken Run. Something like that :)

@charliesamways believe it or not, I'm not the key factor in finishing all these games ;)

Kinda finished a platform for the endless mode including some slight variations:

I have been making everything you counted lately:D . The thing is that i have been making prototpes for past month or two and switching from project to project untill i decided with which project should i countiniue. Ant game sadly couldnt be completed becouse Voxelform isnt enough optimised to be used as main component of game, but anyhow i am very happy to countiniue medieval fighting game.

    Is that Zbrush or mudbox?
    EDIT
Just have a strange story to tell while downloading sculptris from their crappy server I managed to get -150kb/s the download must have been so fast that it had to go back to history cuz it left some files there.

Do you first make a basic model and that just sculpt in the details and do you use tablet to sculpt the model?Answer is probably Yes.

    "Siberian ibex."
Sure looks nice to me, wish I knew ZBrush like that.
The rock formation where they are fighting seems unrealistic though, it looks like it should fall down.
Turning it upside down would probably look more natural.

No actually its reverse. I first make basic model in Zbrush using Zspheres. This is by far the best and fastest method to create organic objects. Then i put model in Mudbox and do all sculpting there untill high ress model is ready. Then i use 3d coat to do retopology and unwraping, after that texturing in Mudbox. This is how i always make organic objects, it gives me great results becouse animal objects arent technically complex, but rather you just need to define their form well, which can be done much better trough sculpting than modeling and moving verticles in max.

*3d coat 3.7 has little improved auto-retopo feature, i would suggest it to everyone who is using retopo a lot. It is excellent for most of objects, i used it for all rocks, however i still preffer to do organic objects manually.

I dont use tablet, becouse i am unsure about it. I think that i wouldnt like it too much, since i didnt like one that i bought two years ago.

Testing out map generation stuff, since its easier to test this outside of unity. But it will eventually be a unity game!

The product of a couple of days work from scratch in the 3.5 beta. Behold, combining jetpacks, infinite levels and ominous red things:

Click the image to give it a try.
WASD to move, and keep and eye on your jetpack's fuel (the yellow bar).

Your workflow sounds a bit complicated. I don't understand why you use Zbrush just for the Zspheres and not the entire sculpt. And with 3d-Coat you have a really powerful texture painting tool as well. So you could use Zbrush for sculpting and 3d-Coat for retopo, unwrapping and texturing. No need for Mudbox at all IMHO:cool:.

@Janpec, yeah I'm curious as to why you wouldn't just use Zbrush. Is Mudbox better then it in your opinion?

And more dinosaurs. lol I keep getting better with Zbrush, and therefore keep getting better at making dinosaurs, so I keep updating the model. I feel like I'm in an endless cycle. D: Getting faster at it too though, so I guess it isn't too much of a problem.

Obviously only the head is fully textured, but I love the direction its going in. Thoughts anyone?

I think the overall white outline kinda destroys the purpose of being highlights. That way it looks flat . The cracks are cool, I think if you apply some sort of light direction so that the bright outlines are not evenly developed, it will improve a lot.
Not that I can do anything like that, at all. Just saying :)
Not sure if you know this resource:

I think the biggest problem is that you stop before the refinement stage.
You've got great bases but when it comes to sharpen, tighten and tidying it up, you just stop :D
You have the basic shadows and highlights, but the darker shadows and brighter highlights are kinda missing and that's why it tends to look a bit blurry, imo.
I think if you'll go back and work on these things your textures will have an even better quality to them !

I have very good reasons for that. Its becouse i dont like Zbrush at all, interface is complete absurd, Mudbox on other hand has perfect interface, it has just as much features as you need for game development. It isnt that hard to spend few minutes on Zspheres in Zbrush, but as soon as i can get ridd of that software and put model in Mudbox i feel much better.
3d coat does not have powerfull painting tool, it has very wierd plastic-like painting and huge advantage of Mudbox is gigatexel engine which allows you to use several objects in scene to be painted with texels or many pixel layers.
Mudbox still tops any texturing software unless you are very used to Photoshop.

    @impheris nice scene.
