We have been testing a port of Ascension to iPhone. So far the frame rate is pretty good.

I am currently working on a Christmas game. Which most probably won't be finished until Christmas.

Nothing to show yet ( only a GDD done), but I am working on Santa and his Sleigh tonight :)

looks good, but remember what are you comparing it too? As no flesh exsists today the only thing we can do is imagine what they looked like based on careful guestimation based on observation and archaology. So for you that means go look at the closest thing to it to compare, aka a crockadile/alagator, it hasnt changed in since then. Get a pick of a crocs hide and use that to guage your specular, gloss, bump, reflection, and diffuse values. You will get better results than tring to guage in from pics of dinos and such.

Everyone else Wow nice work! everything looks awsome keep it up!

I'm currently working on my screensaver framework for Unity, to let Unity be used as a proper Windows screensaver development tool. It's going to be pretty neat to be able to publish as a screensaver and it's coming along really well. Should be available on the app store in the next few weeks.

Got the body finished, some gaps need tidying up.
Starting on exterior parts. Put a reflect map on to show the crome parts.
Can't wait to put this in Unity.

He said shader, not texturing. He's been building a more organic shader and lighting model for it. He's not keeping it prison wall gray. :)

Thanks :) Takes just over 3 hours for the full scene to bake, theres still a few buldings missing/unfinished at the minute so it will probably be closer to 3.5 hours when its done.

Don't use bake selected, that's only for testing. You can find a plugin on the forum somewhere which allows you to bake parts of a scene and load them back in later though. Or use Index's (but that's not what you're wanting in this case).

Like Frank Oz suggested, i just use 'Bake' and not 'Bake Selected', the scene that i posted is baked in this way (sorry if it sounded otherwise). Beast in Unity does have some querks with managing your lightmaps (like not being able to bake parts of the scene without loosing existing maps), lets hope they expand on these features in a future Unity build.

As for the game, sorry, i can't post any more details yet ;)

Make all the objects you DON'T want to bake, but DO want to effect the baking process (bounced light, shadow casting etc.) use an atlas size of 0. They'll bake but not be included in the resulting lightmap. Make sure your road still has a proper atlas size so it continues to bake fully.

And try searching again, it's not the external lightmapper I was talking about.

I have been practicing my modeling and texturing skills in Blender3d.

Made this AK-47 in a day. It has:
-3 separate objects (the gun, the magazine and the trigger).
    -818 quads.
    -1 Material.
    -1 Texture.
    -1 Normal Map.

The image I used for the texture wasn't very high resolution.

You're not doing yourself any favors by isolating it in that environment, without color, without pose, without sky, etc. It's hard to judge an incomplete picture.

Nothing wrong there, but one guy asked on this forum not too much time ago how to obtain so much transparent shadowing on lightmaps and nobody could achieve that. You did without wanting lol :D

You would need to make your own texture just pasting the texture on the gun is bad and low quality.

I think there are so much draw calls in this scene. You can use the MeshMerger script provided in the unify community to reduce there DC. :D

It's not optimized, and I plan on actually optimizing the models to reduce draw calls.

Decided to see what the webplayer was all about, and got it working and integrated with my blogspot account. See it in action The scene is something I did as a small project over the weekend.

Finally put my wheels in the game, not looking too bad.
Although everything else will need improving now.
Just need to get the smoke working for those fat burnouts.

You might want to add some geometry to the inside of the wheel arches if the model is going to be viewed from the side much (you can see right through in the shots you've posted). Apart from that, nice work with the body of the car :) How many tri's is it?

Yeah it's only a shell at the moment, intend to build all interior parts and driveline.

Engine and interior parts will be dynamicaly loaded (Only when needed).

    20.000 polys

    Thanx 4 the comments.
