Hi I seem to be struggeling with something that should be fairly straight forward. For test purpose I simple want to lightmap a quad with a baked point light. And also a realtime point light... This does work... kinda...

Here is how it looks before baking, the red light is baked only, the blue realtime. This is more or less how I expect the baked result to look like.
    NoLightmap.PNG

BUT what I get is this:
    BakedLightmap.PNG

This happens in all the settings I have tried. My last lighting settings was:
    Lightmap Settings.PNG

Any ideas what is causing this drastic change in the intensity of the red light when it is baked to the lightmap? is it perhaps a bug in 5.3.2f1?

    Hi,

I'm not sure, but I think baked and real time doesn't work in the same way.

So you have to play with the intensity to have something coherent.

Yeah but the difference here seems dramatic! The red light is baked in both images, or rather in the first the lightmap has not yet been baked - so I guess it is showing the realtime version untill the beaking. But still the difference is very big I think, is this by design?

The problem is, if you want to publish on mobile, 2 lights could be a problem ...

Gamma or Linear space? If gamma, this is a well known issue. And, to make a very long story short: they are working on it...in the form of a path-tracing lightmapper. So yes, to get predictable results, you literally need to: adjust, bake, wait, check...in that order and repeat until you get desired results (for baked lighting).

Baked lighting is somewhat more predictable when you are in linear mode.

Don't quote me, but I believe that a beta preview of the new lightmapping is due in a beta of 5.4. I hesitate to say it will come in 5.5. I have been waiting since 5.3 for a fix to gamma baking myself.

Even if one is baked and there is only one realtime light?
