Welcome to the Unity Remote Config forum

Unity Remote Config is a cloud service that allows software logic, configuration management and content to be separated from the binary. The overarching purpose of Remote Config is to expedite the move from the manual “client-update-release” development lifecycle, towards an over-the-air model that supports creation, iteration and testing of any Unity content in real-time, and requires no binary updates.

Minimum required Unity version for the package is 2018.3

Documentation for the latest verified version of the package:
    https://docs.unity3d.com/Packages/com.unity.remote-config@latest

And for the more comprehensive documentation on Remote Config REST APIs, go here:

    Feature Set (Available Now)
    • Feature Flags: create, enable, disable features remotely without deploying new code.

    • Targeted Delivery: Restrict feature access to users who share a specific characteristic, by defining and setting conditions and parameters of configurations.

    • Staged Rollouts: launch features in the desired environment to a subset of your user base and when ready, increase percentages of traffic over time.

    • Quality Control: Target a feature to perform QA or whitelist beta visitors.

    • Continuous Deployment: iterate on features from anywhere and make updates by pushing them to any environment.

    • Testing: learn whether your features are effective by decorating your events with the assignment ID.

    • Concurrent Tests: Use prioritisation to run concurrent tests, while maintaining continuity of the user experience.

    • Scheduling: Lineup future events and in app experiences to be activated without deploying code.

Unity Remote Config is currently available as a verified package, and is accessible using Unity Package Manager. After you open a project inside of Unity, you can find the Package Manager by navigating to Window > Package Manager. Links to documentation and change-logs are also provided.

In this forum, we will be posting useful updates and responding to support requests. This forum’s purpose is to gather feedback from our users and hear about any issues you could be experiencing.

Some general guidelines for posting here:

    • Make sure your feedback is relevant and will help the team build a better experience for all Unity users.

    • Please keep issues in separate threads and avoid bundling, otherwise, the thread diverges really fast.

    • Please make the effort to ensure that the posted issue is the same as yours before assuming "me too".

    • This is not a support forum for Unity in general. Topics that are not clearly related to Unity Remote Config will be (re)moved.

    • Do recognise that as forum responses are not necessarily immediate, particularly as Unity engineers and users are located worldwide and do take weekends off. Please respect that fact.

    Thanks for participating!

    Best Regards,

The Unity Remote Config team, AI @ Unity
