Welcome to the new AssetDatabase forum! You can use this forum to ask for help, share feedback, and have discussions about Unity's Asset Database.

The Asset Database covers the AssetDatabase API, Import Activity Window, Parallel Importing, Directory Monitoring, OnDemand Importing, Dependency gathering, and AssetDatabase.Refresh!

Getting Started
The AssetDatabase is responsible for monitoring changes to Assets on disk and triggering a re-import of them if necessary. The AssetDatabase API can be used to perform operations on Assets (including their .meta files) and also allows for batching of operations when a large number of assets need to be imported.

If you come across any bugs, please submit bug reports for them (how to report bugs). That will ensure that our QA team will look into your individual cases. A forum post is not a substitute for a bug report.

Please feel free to discuss any issues you encounter in the forum as well, but make sure to reference issue IDs when you start a new thread about a bug. If a bug doesn't have an ID yet and is unknown, make sure to submit a bug report first before writing about it here.

When you create a forum post about a bug, please try to include:

• Footage or pictures to visualize the issue
