    I have been using Bolt 2 Alpha for a while now. Getting quite comfortable with it. I would love to be a part of Bolt 2 Beta as well. Thank you!

    As a user of Bolt 2 (Alpha) I am no longer able to download a release of bolt 2. I would very much like to be added to the beta list.

    Hi @RealityDotStop, thanks for your activity here, very much appreciated!! I would love to jump in Discord, but I know by experience how much time could magically disappear when starting to live chat! So I would avoid this in the very short term.

    To be fully honest, part of the discussions we have for the next steps also include my involvement with the project moving forward. I have led the transition, which was a lot of fun, but still look forward to the decision if I should own the development of Bolt for the long term, and how we find the synergy with DOTS VS.

    Hi @rworton, yes, my "couple weeks" equals 6 so far :D
    I am seeing good progress from the team. It's coming. There has been some work to be done to migrate some of the Ludiq namespace API, and we want to have enough automated tests to resume alpha testing. This is mostly what takes so much time.

    @CodePoKE, The team is currently cooking their distribution tactic. So we need to wait a little more for the exact process. A lot of you have requested to be involved, we'll see of this is too much for a start, but we wish to get everybody interested to be involved as much as possible. It's just not finalized if we go global from the get go or ramp up progressively.

    Hi @Frosnite, since the acquisition Ludiq stopped the alpha distribution, and we haven't resume it from the Unity side yet. Keep an eye on this thread for more info soon.

    Hi @lazarevicdeja It is likely you will obtain the value you are looking for by using Bolt 1 today, no need to wait. Yes, you will have to learn a few new things the day you'll start using Bolt 2. It will likely not be seamless to migrate from Bolt 1 to Bolt 2.

    Hi @bugfinders, sorry not yet. We have been busy with some Ludiq namespace updates, plus adding many automated tests (we had none), and including a bunch of fixes. That is what has taken so much time. When this is done we can distribute in confidence and ensure a smooth iteration cycle toward the final release.

    Developers have completely changed. A fresh team has taken over the development of Bolt 2. That kind of transfer takes time, so this was expected.

    We had to update the learning content from Ludiq due to outdated Unity versions. Some of it is ready and available:
    Regarding the community videos, we couldn't host them directly for copyrights reasons. We're looking for solving this.

    I know @steve_zeng, this is also frustrating for us. But we decided to not go too fast and try to make that new start for Bolt 2 a solid one. Bolt 1 transfer basically got us busy until the announcement beginning of May, and we're since working at making the alpha cycle for Bolt 2 as best as we can.

    Hey everybody!

    My name is Adam Blahuta and I'm the Lead Software Developer on Bolt at Unity. I'm really excited to be working on Bolt and look forward to chatting with you all!

    I wanted to take some time to update you on what we've been up to. Lazlo was great at delivering frequent Alpha builds for Bolt 2 and communicating quickly with users on issues. These are very important to us as well so we're doing everything we can to set ourselves up to do the same.

    We had a limited amount of Lazlo's time before taking over, so we spent a lot of it just trying to learn as much as we could from him. We prepped our first build for Bolt 1 to deliver some overdue fixes and quickly solve a blocker with the latest version of Unity. We also fixed some Bolt 2 issues as a practical learning exercise.

    We have two things to wrap up before our first Alpha release: refactoring and automated testing.

    We made some significant structural changes that will likely break Bolt 2 graphs, so we wanted to take the time and do it all in one go to avoid breaking graphs multiple times.

    As for automated testing, we're knocking a first suite of tests that will help deliver fixes much more quickly without breaking things (too much) in the process.

    I want to thank everyone for their patience as we get up to speed and I look forward to a great alpha period!

    It's amazing what you're doing right now.

    However, I think you should post some new tutorials or roadmaps for BOLt2.0 now, or you can pick up some old users to help you test it better.

    Example :Unity3D SG plug-in is far from ASE in terms of humanization, but if you could communicate better, I believe you could do better!

    Also, after getting a good look at Bolt 2, do you think it will be possible down the road to add custom editor coding so Bolt can be the ultimate do all be all VS tool?

    Just an FYI, I am already making this. And already have a previous working version incase they don't decide to go ahead and do their own more ingrained one eventually, there will be another option already available. All my units are on GitHub and are MIT and I use them actively myself. I actually had it create every possible editor type, Tools, Editors, EditorWindows, PropertyDrawers, ect. They work live just like runtime, because it compiles a shell script, and makes Bolt calls from there.



    There is one more HIGHLY requested unit I've seen interest others, that's what I call a code block. Doesn't have all the juicy features I want, but it is ancient. This used CSScript. I will use Roslyn now and allow much more customization. Hopefully finish my parsing library to allow color coding and more.



    These versions I'm showing are OLD, like 2 years old. Early days of Bolt. I've come leaps and bounds since then, so it should seem more native like now. Will be started next month after I finish 2 others that are in progress.

    I usually occupy Twitter and Discord, so not many probably know extras exist. Perhaps I'll share it in the Assets forum now that Unity owns Bolt.
