Weird Maya to Unity Rig/Skin problem?

    Hey guys, I'm having a crazy weird problem with my model rig in Unity. In Maya testing the rigging works completely as expected, manipulating the bones moves the appropriate part of the mesh. However in Unity it's a completely different story.

    Here's a look at the rig in maya.

    And a gif of the rig selected while the animator plays an idle animation... the indicators for his bones are moving but not even close to where they should be or scaled right
