Weird image tearing on samsung S7,S8 US model

    Hello,
    I have stumbled across a super weird issue with my 3d model in unity. The problem only appears on samsung galaxy s7,s8 made for US market and is nonexistent on the EU models (only difference is in the CPU), same OS, same graphics...all the same.

    1st image shows EU s7, 1nd image shows the US s7

    The project is VR, but it is not VR related since i have tried different SDK/integrations (gear vr, google cardboard) with same result.

    project specs:
    - unity 2017.2 plus
    - baked lightmaps (nondirectional) - i have ruled out the lightmap issue, since it is same with or without them
    - constant fps (50-60)
    - low poly count (< 20k)

    The only thing that comes to mind is that there is something wrong with the model, but it is using only standard unity materials, there are no screen effects etc etc... And yet it only happens on certain devices as described.

    So if someone can point me in right direction about: what this texture tearing is/what are the causes for that and how to prevent them? I would hate to think this is a device specific problem and there is nothing i can do about it...
