Weird black areas on light mapped object

    I'm having some weird black areas on 1 of my meshes when light mapping it and I have no idea what's causing it.

    As you can see all the objects are lighted correctly except the trees.
    All objects have the same shaders and I imported them the same way and let Unity generate the second UV for the lightmap.

    It also only appears to be on the dark side of the trees, the lighted side looks correctly:

    Does anyone know what is causing this?

    Turning on final gather seems to have solved all my issues.
    The black artifacts are gone and now I can also use compressed light maps without getting additional green and yellow artifacts.

    Final gathering makes it slower but the default setting of 1024 is a bit high, in my case I don't see a significant difference between 1024 and 64 which makes it a lot faster.

    How did you manage to bake anything in Unity5? All i got is "stuck on some random job number.
