Hi there! First a quick one: Is it currently possible to create WebGL builds with the Personal Edition of Unity? And a few follow up questions: If it is possible, will it stay that way? Is it correct that the final WebGL export will be fully available in Unity PE as well? Thanks!
Yes it is possible to create WebGL builds with Unity PE. However the whole WebGL deployment is still in Beta.
Edit: So right after this I just found it on my build settings. I swear I didn't see this the last 5 times I looked. Sorry about that!! I would love to get this beta version, how would we go about doing this? We need to deploy our game (currently in a competition) on a chromebook and I keep seeing talks about the webgl being in beta. We are at a point where we could have our game play-tested by over a hundred students and we would be so happy to get a way to access the webgl beta publishing. Thank you for any help!
WeGL is a platform "Preview" which means some functionality is still missing. We are adding/fixing/improving it along the normal Unity development line. There is no special beta for WebGL. Just grab the latest Unity 5 release and you are good to go.
