Hi all, i'm just curious what is your current experience with Unity WebGL on Chrome vs Firefox?

Currently i notice with the latest Chrome version my game seems very laggy, previously it was running well at 60 FPS but now I see a drop in FPS down to 40 FPS at times, while Firefox continues to run my WebGL game perfectly fine at 60 FPS.

I think overall Firefox is better at running WebGL games in comparison to Chrome from what i've seen not just now but even before I started to experiencing the above issue. Why is that? What is Firefox doing better than Chrome for games in the browser?

I'm also curious if Firefox will start to begin gaining some more market share due to this, and also because Firefox still supports NPAPI. Although i'm guessing at some point Firefox will disable NPAPI as well.

From my perspective latest version of chrome broken something - my project now crawls at ~35 - 45 FPS in chrome, comparing to ~50 FPS in previous version (that same build), comparing to ~55 - 60 FPS on Firefox.

On Windows, the results are quite tight, especially between Chrome and Edge . This is hardly surprising since both browsers are based on the same open-source browser project, Chromium .

While the tests seem to show a slight lead for Chrome , Mozilla's Firefox browser finished last in four out of five tests, with scores well below those of Chrome and Edge .

Even with Kraken 1.1, Mozilla's benchmark (lowest score is best), Firefox falls behind last, well behind web browsers from Google and Microsoft.
