WebGL not building. Unity 2018.1.0b10

    Today I updated to the latest available version of Unity, 2018.1.0b10 and discovered for some reason I cannot build for WebGL. This was working fine in the last build of Unity I was running.

    It gets to 'Stripping Assemblies' then just dumps. It looks like it may have something to do with IL2cpp?

    Here is everything it spits out. There are 8 errors in total.

    does it work if you move your project from drive X: to C: ?

    EDIT: its inconsistent on Windows. Crashes consistently after building for Android. I can not confirm this has negative effect on final build, as the build seems to run fine.

    [RESULTS]
    Focusing Editor window after switching to, and building for (succeeding to or failing to build) different platform than previous platform causes the above errors to appear. Editor window might come into focus after you close the app projector window (windows build), or otherwise. To quickly reproduce, create new project, build, switch platforms, build, focus Scene window after build.

    The resultant build files seems unaffected (the error seems to be EditorWindow/Unity-internal related, not build-related).

    Running Windows 8.1 and x64 Unity Editor build.

    Hello @Marco-Trivellato . This still seems to be an issue as of 2018.2.0f2. I can't seem to find the bug in the tracker. Any update on when this will be resolved, or if there's a workaround?

    there is no bug tracker because QA was not able to confirm the bug. No repro project was provided.

    if you can submit a new bug report, we can take a look.

    I did not provide example project, but mentioned in the Bug report, that none is necessary, as in my message it clearly states, that all you need to do is:

    ^^ i cant be more specific, than what i already provided in the bug report and in this thread, and the questions in the email clearly state, that that information was not even looked at. I was able to omit the error for now, so personally i wont be providing any more feedback on it, please use what was given already. It is sufficient (i have created a test project myself and identified the erroneous use-case, as detailed above, already).

    And to those suffering from this issue, until its fixed: your build is unaffected, just ignore the errors for now.

    Hello, same issue here. webgl gets to a certain point right around the Stripping Assemblies' and IL2cpp stage as mentioned above. I have it on C drive, I also created a new empty project to test if it was on my end, and it still dump.

    I thought it was just my equipment. Have there been any updates on this I also have UNITY 2018.2.2 installed and it didn't work on 2018.2.1 either. I have another question as well, is there not anyone designated to check for these things as they become know or better yet before they become known to the public?

    There has to be a budget available for such a task. Also as mentioned it's very easy to see. Just create a new project, before adding anything export to webgl and it will end in a frozen state. Seems like 3 mths ago it was exporting fine. Anyone? Unity? Are you there?

    Ok everyone to clear up, not sure what exactly happened, Webgl is working! Nice! I first tried to with 2018.2.1 and 20182.2 and it didn't work for me, just sitting here now I said to myself let me try again, the only difference this time is that I disconnected from the internet while exporting and the build was successful! Now I'm going to test it on the games website I'm developing for it. Again Webgl is exporting for me now!

    In case this will help someone: the same project does not build on a machine (same error as listed above and no files are generated) but it builds on another one. Same unity version 2018.2.5f1. Tried to start from a clean state for both machines (deleted library folder). Both have the repo on C:/

    I just had this in 2018.4.1f1 when switching platform to webgl in a new project (a plane and a sphere with the default camera and directional light). Looking at the error messages I believe it is related to the "animation" window being in a tab on the main display.
    I have built webgl many times on this machine without problems but it is only yesterday that I needed to have the Animation window regularly available.
    As others have commented, it does not affect the build but it did cause me a brief panic.
