    Hello, I made a 2d game about Squirrels hacking substations. It is based on the website https://cybersquirrel1.com/, and the premise that squirrels cause the most outages on the powergrid, and therefore must be running an organized operation.

    Trailer:

    It can be played here;
    https://robidev.github.io/CyberSquirrelOne/

    and it is completely noncommercial and open source. The source is here;
    https://github.com/robidev/CyberSquirrelOne

    I based the content on several free assets I found in the asset store, on other places online and tips from this forum. I have tried to credit any content used, and respect the licenses where applicable. If you feel I used your content without proper credit, or are violating your license, please let me know so we can get it sorted.

    I also split some parts that were build for the game into separate projects, so that it can be easily used by others, and learned from. Screenshots have been included.

    https://github.com/robidev/Unity.SimpleElectricSimulator - a simple electric network calculator, that can be used for basic electric flow

    https://github.com/robidev/Unity.ObjectSerializer - some scripts that can be added to objects to serialize(i.e. load/save) some of its properties, and is easily extended. It extends the TigerForge Asset

    https://github.com/robidev/Unity.ObjectiveTracker - objective tracking arrows and list

    https://github.com/robidev/Unity.UnixGUI - A unix based gui. It includes a command-line, and a custom build table listview. It is based on the simplewindowui asset.

    Feel free to leave any suggestions.

    Cheers,

    Robin

    Hi, sorry if this is a silly question, is the game designed for a certain resolution/ screen size?

    I think my screen size is a bit smaller than average maybe, because I can't see the whole screen. Because of this I didn't play much, since I can't see the top or bottom of the screen well (and..presumably the sides?)

    I love the little logo though that popped up on the start screen, it was very cool/ cute. Sorry I can't give more feedback.

    Hi Dean, Thank you for the feedback! I actually developed the game with 1024x768 resolution as minimum in mind, and attempted some other resolutions, to see how the game would scale, but I actually did not consider any lower resolutions. The website actually forces 1066px by 800px, as that looked best for most scenes, but using the full-screen button should allow for a different resolution as well. Did you try the full-screen button to see if it improved things? I'm actually not sure at what resolution the game becomes unplayable...

    Hi, I'm not sure if I have that resolution on my laptop. Ill check with full screen button soon and let you know how it works :)

    I.... also remembered I can just plug in a monitor for the sake of playing a game, so even if it doesn't work with my laptops monitor I'll try to leave some good feedback tonight!

    Hi, first of all I wanted to apologize for the long delay in actually trying the game on my desktop, life stuff popped up.

    I did try, it seemed cool in some ways, but hard to play in others (which isn't necessarily bad, it could just be targeted at more advanced gamers than I am).

    that said here are my few comments:

    it was a bit unintuitive to get on the drone. I think its slightly strange the the squirrels can push it while its landed. It just made it harder to get on.

    I liked the sound effects you had going, like the bird made a sound, that wise nice.

    I had trouble playing it with the short throwing range of the squirrel and the speed at which the drone dropped. again, these aren't necessarily bad things, its just what I noticed at my current uh "gaming level" so to speak.

    I liked the squirrel assets. They were cute. I know you were using free assets for most part, so I'm not saying this is a big flaw, but I think the art style of the building didn't really match the other pixel art style of the rest of the game.

    Anyway... again I apologize for the long delay. And that I wasn't good enough to play for super long XD I did give quiet a couple attempts, but I'm just not very good at this game it seems.

    Have a good day!
