As URP is positioned to become a de-facto default Unity rendering pipeline I would like to know when a water system (and other HDRP goodies like clouds etc) will be available for URP.

While it's not built into the Editor, Unity's freely available Boat Attack URP example (which has been around for some years now and remains updated) has a water system and shader you can bring over into your own project.

A few years back Unity also published a video tutorial for creating a water shader graph - that one probably isn't 100% up-to-date with the latest Unity Editor version, but will help get you started with a water system that's tailored to your exact game's mechanical and visual requirements.

Thanks, I am aware of these. Another example is the Unity's Viking Village. What I am bothered about is HDRP appears to receive more features like water, clouds etc while URP which is communicated to be become the default pipeline remains underdeveloped.
