I was just playing around with the water shader. It's so cool.
Also, the lanscape is baked with an hdr light probe and then that same probe image is used as the skybox. The terrain utilizes the detail shader and the lightmap is used as the base texture. Again, just mess'n around.

    Cheers,
    CG

Amazing. This is another reason for me to get Unity Pro I assume?

The first and second screenshots are fantastic! The water shader is only for Pro, right?

that is fantastic - that first shot is almost scary its so nice. i really like the deep darks you achieved - is that the result of the HDR (or does that only affect the highlights)?

The shader used in the shots above uses a rendertexture for the reflection and rendertextures are a pro-only feature.

    Yo gs,

I burned a web player of the little landscape thing.
I had some fun dropping in a bunch of ambient audio.

Have a gander. (note: you can fall off everything and into oblivion)

    Cheers,

Hey man, this is real cool. Can I make some suggestions? I was almost "there"...
1.The flying dandelions-good be a wee bit smaller for realism?Maybe the odd one that comes across the camera is actually all there- the fluffy bit the stem and seed ?Attach a particle emitter to the camera for this maybe?
    2. A few less dandelion plants on the ground? This is an awesome piece, and I cant help feeling Less is perhaps more here. They just dont sit right with the realism for me. Perhaps they're too bright? I had trouble getting flat colours with the grass shader.
    3. The buildings up close look great,-I love that specular effect, but they look almost "ahem" sexual from afar?
I guess If I was your boss in a game studio, I'd ask you to make real dark, medieval buildings...To build on the mood...Then I'd give you a wicked raise for your good work.
    The sounds really work well.
My favorite bit was seeing the mist rise off the pond.
I hope to see this world grow much, much bigger!

Very nice! Smooth too. The textures and shaders used are incredible. The game has a very real feel to it - reminds me a bit of Ico.

Nice fog coming off the water. It has a great mysterious and other worldly feel.

    Thanks.

Well, i was just having some fun with the water shader. But it seems to grow...
Maybe it could be a collaborative piece? We all add something to it?

Or like the old parlor game where you each add a line to the story?

    Cheers,

It would be kind of cool to string together a bunch of these worlds through portals. So you could create a "ring" of worlds developed by various authors...

Good idea shallow, Cg's nature scene is awesome. Maybe it could be pretty much organic, and we build an ecosystem? Could be a gallery for all the Unitree stuff, so all the good work done on trees can be viewed at once...Nice boulders and stuff-could be a display centre for our best grass and ground textures too...

an interactive 3D gallery of unitree and unity's outdoor possebilities, that would seriously "Rock" (no pun intended ;) ).
