I've got an issue I haven't been able to find elsewhere, let alone fix without help.

I'm not entirely sure why it's behaving this way, but I've got an empty scene with only a plane mesh with a water material attached. This is the basic water effect (free).

The problem is that the plane is entirely transparent unless viewed from up close. Even when viewed up close, only a few feet of the plane in front of the camera shows the material before it fades away into transparency (further away is more transparent); leaving the rest of the mesh without any visible material.

I've set the Culling Mask to 'Everything' and Clipping Planes / Far to 1000. The material that is visible animates fine, but is entirely invisible under normal circumstances; moving the camera a few points down makes it invisible (likely due to distance).

Altering the Water Auto Blend Parameter (Edge, Shore, Distance scales) doesn't help either.

I'm sure there's a simple fix, but I can't work it out. Is anyone able to point me in the right direction?

I'm not surprised I didn't get a response. The issue seemed to be a corruption / error within the engine itself. A reinstall fixed the problem.
