How would you like WTF's gameplay to be focused on?

  1. Minimum strategy, mindblowing action and tons of destruction!

Like any giant robot anime War Tech fighters has swords too ;)
Now you can try your equipped sword directly in the hangar:

Did... did the robot just fly kicked a jet to death and sliced another in mid-air? Holly molly, that's awesome!

At 11:12 , the robot turning around the fighters is perhaps too much responsive and very arcade, it has no inertia, it is normal and intended ?
Anyway , amazing job, the game looks very appealing and pro.

Applaud all your guys hard work and effort so far. Nice progress.
For animations - I know you are targeting a specific stylistic look, however the quick actions of the robot reduces the sense of size and weight for all the mechs. They actually look like small toys in the air instead of gigantic mechs in outer space. This is going to be a difficult issue to address with the style of animations you are going for.
Second - when the mechs are fighting hand to hand with swords - the action movements look good but the mechs appear static. They are both 'floating' on the same horizontal plane and there is very little body motion other than what the attack and defend animations show. This is also going to be an interesting dilemma because being in space, in close quarters combat there is no point of reference to show they are actually floating and have movement while they are fighting. Some space debris / particles could potentially help break up this static looking side effect.

I look forward to your future updates to see how you overcome these interesting animations issues.
    Keep up the solid progress.

@zenGarden : yes, the game is very arcade oriented. In the specific case the target is locked on the turret while the robot shoots. Aiming sensitivity can be adjusted at will in the options.

@theAnimator2b : current animations are the result of many feedbacks from test groups and publishers we're discussing with. Addictive gameplay is our ultimate goal, not realism.

To make it feel a bit more of that large size, maybe consider making the explosions longer, adding more debris, and making them look a bit more random. I do realize it is for mobile so this may not be possible. But this would definitely make it look more polished and professional.

I also agree with @theANMATOR2b that they look a bit funny on the same plane as each other, adding some particles in the backround making it look like they are moving would make them look alot less static.

Our work continues to improve every aspect of the game. Almost all the gameplay features are working and the menu is finally complete. Many graphics improvements have been done but further iterations are planned, particularly on VFX.

    Stay tuned!

After a few months of tuning on the game mechanics, we’re currently working to improve the visual impact of War Tech Fighters.

We’ve completely redesigned all the spaceships in the game, here you can see some examples of the new models:

    Hi guys,
it has been a long time.

Since War Tech Fighters went on Steam we have not had time to post updates here.
We want to share this trailer for the latest update before the game leaves Early Access.
