    hi guys,
    ive created this thread so as you great particle effect artists can create and share realistic and common war effects. The common particle effects needed in war games eg;

    1) smoke trails following missiles, need more realistic smoke moving in world space.
    2) explosions (been using detonator), should have shockwave or debris.
    3)small explosions eg grenades
    4) flairs... like those deployed by aircraft if being attacked by missiles.
    5) Bullet trails etc

    the point of creating this thread is to have the most realistic effects that can be seen in AAAA games like battlefield etc, shared and improved upon.

    anyway, ill set the example. this is the current smoke trail particle effect im using just attach it to rigidbody with a constant force to see it work.

    I don't think you'll get much in the way of AAAA effects without paying AAAA money.

    Like superpig said, if you want AAAA quality asset, expect to pay AAAA quality price.

    some of the most brilliant work is done out of passion ... and that is pricesless. ive seen some crazy assets shared on these forums, thats why im up for sharing and improving. if you cant share the asset then atleast share references to that.

    Sometimes people make me reconsider my open source policy and I start thinking about how much I could charge for some basic but high res assets.

    It's the masses of people who legitimately want to learn that still keep me from it.
