According to this link, Vulkan rendering is now supported by ARCore. Are there any plans or timeline to support this in Unity?

Yes, it would be handy if Unity incorporated this. Until then, maybe doing so outside Unity is the best option. I was hoping to leverage some of the work from the aras-p/UnityGaussianSplatting repo that works with the Vulkan renderer.
This work is still ongoing. Delivery date is outside the XR team's control as this affects several other areas of Unity. (Graphics, etc)
