Hey, Vuforia Team... we're toying around with Unity 2018.1 and saw that Linear color space is not supported anymore, which is crucial for our development. So PLEASE change this so we can use it. Otherwise we can't update on 2018.1 :/ I know that Linear color space wasn't officially supported but it works more than fine for us. We managed to get optimal results using LUT and even without it... please let your customers decide which way they want to develop their apps. #BringBackLinearColor + It's pretty sad that everything looks as intended in the editor and you get the error just when you're building on your device
There is an issue with the Linear Color Space that is being addressed for a future Vuforia release. Apologies for the inconvenience.
Same problem here, my game looks bad when i change color space to Gamma, are there any way to fix this?

Did anyone find a workaround? We were anticipating 2018.1 viscously because of a solid full PBR workflow with the Shader-Graph in AR. How many weeks/months has 2018.1 in beta so that you did not achieve compatibility? Seriously Vuforia.... When will this be fixed?

I believe you can build with linear color space in 2018.2 with Vuforia active, but the issue that originally disabled it is still present.

Ok. That's enough. We are working to replace Vuforia and drop our commercial licence. It's simply unacceptable to be blocked in visual fidelity by an SDK that lazies around, has no public road map, no general support, does not use betas to ensure future compatibility and takes more than a year to catch up to the official release of innovations of PBR based rendering with unitys scriptable render pipeline — while — being included in unity 2018.x builds. Who ever the product owner for the unity integration is: He should be fired! I really don't know why Vuforia shouldn't be dropped from the partner list on the bottom of this page.

This issue has been resolved in Vuforia 7.5 which should be available within roughly the next month. We will make an announcement when this version is commercially available.
Several Vuforia employees have claimed this, but I currently stand with Unity 2018.2.8f1 With vuforia 7.2.24 and the build still fails when in linear space. How long can it take to issue a proper fix for this? EDIT Apparently, just building the apk for Android will work. I kept on clicking build and run and that always fails due to color space being Gamma. Happy for a workaround but this is rather wonky behavior, not to mention the fact that I need to manually copy and install the package on the phone.
