Hi, I've been trying to setup the Vuforia environment in Unity, as far as I know for MacBook users Vuforia comes with the latest updates in Unity.

So I made a scene where there's an ARCamera set to the FaceTime HD Camera, an image and a cube.

I thought it could be because the FaceTime HD camera is not allowed to use in unity, so I tried with another webcam and yet the result is the same.

My laptop is a MacBook Pro 2018 running on Mojave 10.14.3 with Unity 2018.3.4

Hi, did anyone of you find a solution for this problem? I got the same now with Unity 2019.2 on Mac with Catalina.

Hi @artegaa , Some issues where linked to Unity not having access to the camera. Could you please go to System preferences-> Security&Privacy -> Camera -> Make sure Unity/ Unity Hub is selected.
    Thank you.

    Same here :(
MacOS Mojave, latest Unity 2019.2.12f1 / Vuforia 8.5.9.

Unity + Unity Hub are selected in the Security & Privacy.
Happened with FaceTime HD Camera as well as a random USB webcam.

I cannot play a scene if Vuforia is enabled in the project.

After a few tries, I uninstalled Unity once more and reinstalled. It finally worked.

At the end I am on MacOS Catalina, I switched the OS language to english, no idea what did the trick

    Hello!
There is no that option on System Preferences.
    General - FileVault - Firewall - Privacy

    Then, inside Privacy:
    Location - Contacts - Calendar - Notes - Accessibility - Analysis

    Found temporary solution
    1. delete unity hub
    2. copy unity ( from application )
    3 .paste to documents
4 .and open it ( now it will ask for camera permission and unity will appear in privacy settings of camera )

@agpatel0007 Thanks for the workaround ... this really works. But do you know if it is a bug on Unity side or Vuforia? And is there any info about an update? I tried after your solution to install Unity Hub again but then Unity still crashes when the play button is clicked.

    1. delete unity hub
    2. open project with unity
    3. access camera with unity
    4. agree camera pricacy.
    5. put unity hub back.

Just wow; I've spent two work days on this issue and the ones who are communicating the fix is the community? Seems that unity support is dropping the ball hard here; they simply say to just enable it in security when in fact the app doesn't show up at all in security or privacy. I've tested this on 4 iMacs and 2 Macbook Pros, the bug is consistent across all available unity versions and affects all computers. Step up your support Unity, you're losing a very very large potential client here. Good day and thank youvzheng and agpate for sharing your fix.
