Vuforia 5.5.9 and Unity 64bit problem

Hello,

I have installed Vuforia 5.5.9 on Unity 5.3.4 64bit and trying to execute an example I have this error:

Failed to load 'Assets/Plugins/x86/VuforiaWrapper.dll', expected 64 bit architecture (IMAGE_FILE_MACHINE_AMD64), but was IMAGE_FILE_MACHINE_I386. You must recompile your plugin for 64 bit architecture.
Vuforia.WebCamAbstractBehaviour:IsWebCamUsed()
Vuforia.WebCamAbstractBehaviour:IsWebCamUsed()
Vuforia.VuforiaRuntimeUtilities:IsVuforiaEnabled()

I have tried the 64bit workaround but it seeom not work.

Any idea about how to execute Vuforia in 64bit editor?

Hi kenshin,
seem that vuforia Unity Editor play mode is not yet suppoirted on for 64bit Unity Editor.
You need to download Unity 32 bit editor.

edit.. i see now that the post is old enough ...maybe you have found the solution at this point.

 

Once there was a parameter that could be appended to the desktop shortcut like

"C:\Program Files\Unity534p1\Unity\Editor\Unity.exe _32bit" or similar - does that still exist?

 

seems it doesn't ... there are two separate versions.

I hope Vuforia team will fix this issue soon ...64bit version in 2016 is mandatory!!!

 

i too faced the same issue go when i used vuforia for unity 5.5 64 bit dont when this issue will be resolved but 32 bit unity editor is preferred if you want to do AR using vuforia
