VSCode opens twice

    Whether I double click a script from the editor or go 'Assets->Open C# Project', Visual Studio Code opens twice with both workspaces listed as Untitled.
    Is there a launch script file somewhere I can check that may have been corrupted?
    I'm on linux mint 19 with version 2018.2.2f1 and my external editor is set as /usr/bin/code.
