I'm trying to get spatial audio working in a gear VR project, but while the direction can be heard, it sounds off like its juddering.

I have a mono sound effect and have spatialize ticked on the audio source as well as Spatial Blend set to 3d, but there is something off about it. The 3D effect is working, it just sounds wrong.

Has anyone else had problem with VR sound?

Have you tried it with different sound effect? Some audio (specific sine wave for example) might sound weird or wrong even in real life. That's because your left and right ear might have different "blind spot" for some frequencies. And of course this 3d effect is simulated so you might have uncanny valley for 3d sounds, but i guess you have tried some 3d audio and know how it should sound.

These are interesting points. Before I go any further with this I think I'm going to put in some music where it might be more obvious what sounds wrong.

At the moment I'm playing with monster sounds, growling etc. which might to harder to hear what is up.
