VR Explorable Real world mapping

    I am just in my learning stages of working with the Unity platform and one thing I have not come across yet is whether I can create an explorable Virtual Reality environment off of a filmed real world location using a VR camera like Jaunt or Yi Halo. I'm not talking recorded VR film tours.. but a truly free and explorable world mapped with the real world film we are recording.
    Does anyone know if the application has this capability?

    What you're describing is photogrammetry on the scale of an entire location. Below is an example of it being done on the scale of a small bedroom.

    For equipment the example's developer has a few different cameras which he discusses in the following video.


    That said his tutorial series, both parts linked below, can be done with an iPhone 7 camera.
