I can't believe I don't see a thread announcing the brand new Unity VR course
    https://learn.unity.com/project/vr-beginner-the-escape-room

I *WAS* planning on rewriting some of my weekend project's core systems in ECS this weekend, but I think I'll probably start by doing this beginner's VR tutorial first (or "instead" if my son decides to respectfully decline his naps)

This looks so gorgeous and after doing the Oculus course which uses VRTK I'm pretty excited to look at the differences in the Unity version.

Has anyone else tried this one out yet? I can't really get started until after work tonight, but I'm really looking forward to it.

This one is probably better for a late-stage developer https://learn.unity.com/course/oculus-vr specifically the optimization section is pretty great.

It's been a bit of a pain to get rendering correctly on Quest, check out the thread in the learning forum https://forum.unity.com/threads/new-vr-beginner-escape-room.834769/

Otherwise, it does in fact look amazing, and is really thought through. The tutorial is very very beginner, and I really hope they make more tutorial content with these materials. It's really well done.

The learn team did an amazing job on this :) we're hoping to include some of the work they did in the toolkit itself!

I'm on a mini mac running Hight Sierra using the latest version of Unity and have followed the tutorial very carefully but the "Build and Run" fails every time on my Quest. (Gradle failure error) amount others. Any one have an idea what's wrong?

that can be a lot of things. Usually gradle errors come with two or three other errors that give you a bit more information. Like perhaps android NDK needs you to accept a license? That's happened to me. Without a bit more detail it'll be hard to help you out there though.

Your quest is in developer mode? Can the app "build" if you don't choose "build and run"?

Really odd bug here. Running 2019.3 on an Oculus VR project using rift CV1.
Development has been smooth until just now.
Just today, every time I have both the rift on and my unity project opened, without pressing play in the unity editor, the rift shows what it usually shows after I press play to run the project in the editor. It gets hung on loading and if i cancel the load on the Rift, and try to play the game via the editor, unity closes down with no bug reporting dialogue.

    What could be happening??

and yes I have tried restarting my computer :)
Could this be a corrupted cache or smth?

Similar problem to MrQaz Running 2019.3 windows 10 with Escape room project, Quest with link on, Occulus home running and whilst idle, just crashed to desktop with no dialogue. Deleted project and started again and then unity froze and would not even accept focus in windows.

Reinstalled Unity, Hub (just to be sure) and removed all the %appdata% folders.
It is now behaving so far...
