Feature Request VR Editor 2022

Hello all

I was wondering if anybody had any updates, news on a possible VR editor for Unity, the previous incarnation is dead https://unity.com/editorxr, the github hasn't been updated and nobody on the team responds to requests.

Would you need one, want one ? I do and I am sure others do too.

 

Did not know this even was a thing, I also really want to know if this is still happening.

 

I am fighting by myself for now to get any updates but if we all gather and request info we might get something, ready to help ?

 

I thought that it was on hold for now, not fully cancelled. Not sure however

 

Nobody knows but one thing is for sure is that we can't use it, while Unreal and Blender allow us to produce and experiment in VR, Unity left us with nothing.

 

if anyone knows how to pull the bridge only part that connects to the open-xr runtime i will be happy to try and make the interactions / ui stuff for the editor

 

You can always make a level editor with VR support. Also might be a really cool feature for the future players (;
