VR Archviz should I use Lightweight Pipeline?

    If I was to start a VR archviz project today with a GTX 1070 should I experiment with the lightweight render pipeline or stay with unity 2017.3 and wait for VR support with the HD pipeline?

    You can use 2018.x if you want and the default pipeline. This way you get new functionality and bug fixes.

    The lightweight and HD render pipeline is not finished. Asset packs with shaders and custom materials need to support this to work.
