VR 2d art software

Hi all,

I have looked high and low and failed to find a piece of software that does this well. Has anyone found, or put any time into making a project that focuses on painting or sketching on a canvas in VR? Everywhere I read people saying "Why would you want to paint in 2D in a 3D simulation?!" The answer is, because it's a great way to learn. No supplies, no canvas needed, no cost, just time.

I know various packages provide the facility e.g Tilt Brush, to draw on a surface, but it's VERY rudimentary, and not what it's designed for. It lacks basic concepts such as erasing from a point, or smudging or in fact MOST aspects of painting. I'm hoping to find, or encourage someone else, or failing that, to develop one myself that is designed solely for this purpose.
