    Dear all,

I would like to visualize a number of cubes to create a smoke plume as shown in the figure bellow. However, as shown in this figure, the cubes are not linked together. So, we can observe a pixelized effect. How can I get better results? I was reading about volumetric shaders but I don't know how it works. I found this video on Youtube but the asset is not for free and I'm not sure it can remove my issue.

    Can anyone help please?

    Thanks in advance

Cubes are "stored" in 3D texture ? If so, check texture filtering is linear.

    Thanks for your reply.

The cubes have not any texture. They are only simple pre-existing cubes of unity with a standard shader and a "FADE" rendering mode. (Maybe I need to modify the way I'm trying to render the cubes.)

The issue is that I don't want to see the edges which separate each cube from the others. I would like to have an effect of a single object.

Please see this video to understand better my issue.

I would like to reproduce the same idea.

    Thanks again for your help

    Thanks again for your help.
I'm not familiar with shaders. How much it takes to do such stuff for a novice person? Is it complicated to get good results in a limited time?

    Cheers

Thanks to both of you. Can you advice some courses or tutorials for me to learn about raymarching?

    Cheers
