Visual studio

    Did mono get replaced all that keeps popping up is visual studio, should I use this is it better than mono.

    I like it - it's a lot speedier, plus makes debugging easier. Once i installed Visual Studio Tools for Unity, I never went back to Mono.

    Oh ok so visual is better than mono and is mono still available because I don't see it.

    Well you have to get it separately. Get Visual Studio Community Edition 2015 from Microsoft, it's free and works with Unity.

    If you want to switch your IDE, you can do so by going to Edit/Preferences/External Tools/ External Script Editor

    So I will be able to develop for all the same platforms and Visual is just the better one?

    It's a matter of opinion, but yes you can develop in either IDE you prefer.
