Visual Studio on Mac

    I found out that Monodevelop will no longer be supported in Unity 2018. Does this mean I will have to pay for Visual Studio?

    No. VS has a community edition on pc that is free and VS for mac is free. It will be installed with 2018 if you select it.

    You're also able to simply install MonoDevelop on your own and use that. :)

    I would personally go with VS for Mac, though.

    Free for personal (single user) on any free or paid app.

    Free for up to 5 users on anything, too.
    Beyond 5 users, you have to get ... (I have no idea) lol

    For more than 5 users, any size team, all classroom work, teaching, and open source is free, too.
    However, for paid apps, I have no idea the difference between pro / enterprise. If that's not you, who cares.
    If it's you, someday, you'd have to find out. =)
