Visual Studio Mac Time Machine Backup Slowdown

I've just reported this to VS community and I thought it would be helpful to share it here too.

I was dealing with slow program launch and slow solution loading problem for the last few days since I moved to Visual Studio Community on Mac.

After testing on two machines, both release & preview versions, cleaning caches, re-installing, etc. I’ve finally found the culprit. It turns out slowdown caused by Time Machine Backup.

If there is a current backup in progress (from preparing backup to cleanup phase) Visual Studio Program Launch is very slow. Likewise opening a Unity project and even launching a .cs within the project is very slow.

As soon as backup finishes, slowdown returns to normal.

If you are also on a Mac can you please check if it's the same for you?
