Bug VFX Graph Custom Shader Full Black BUG (2022.2)

    Hey I'm on Unity 2022.2

    In VFX Graph, whenever I plug an attribute (per particle) variable into an unlit quad using a custom shader-graph it makes it full black. I know the first assumption you'd make is that it is a shader problem - but the weird thing is this cannot be the case as it is a simple flipbook index I'm passing in via the VFX Graph.

    The weird thing is if I unplug the per-particle attribute node (such as Age Over Lifetime) and move the T value of the lerp manually (in vfx graph) - it works? So it is definitely not a shader issue. It is also not limited to just the flipbook index - it also goes full black upon changing the particle colour property - but only if the variables passed in use an attribute in the lerp such as Age over Lifetime.

    Is this a bug with VFX Graph?

    Morning.
    I'll be glad to help you, but it will be way easier if you could provide us with a small unity package with the VFX Graph, ShaderGraph, and texture assets needed for testing purpose. Also is this issue is happening on HDRP or URP 2022.2

    Hey thanks for your reply, this is running on HDRP.

    I've actually fixed my issue by just opting for the 6-way-lit smoke material available on the VFX graph HDRP version rather than creating my own shader.

    If you'd still like me to send over my shader, vfx graph, etc. for testing purposes in case it is actually a bug in the package, please let me know,
