    Hi there,

Since Unity 2019.1, I've been experiencing a terribly frustrating issue with the editor.

Popup windows (color picker and asset selector) immediately close themselves upon opening. I have to keep re-opening them, sometimes it takes 2-3 tries until they stay visible, sometimes it takes +20 tries. It's driving me insane.

    Here's a video:

Happens in 2019.1-2020.2, haven't tried newer versions. Seems endemic to Mac, in Windows it works fine. No other software I use in my Mac behaves this way, nor I have issues with any other windows/tabs in Unity.

    MacPro 2013, MacOS Catalina 10.15.4.

I'm surprised to find no mention of this anywhere. has anyone else experienced this? any ideas?

This is easily one of the most COLOSSALLY infuriating things right now with Unity2019 and onwards. When you click something to open a window three randomly different things will happen:

    1. you actually get the window you want and cursor focus is in the filter field (if one exists)

    2. your window snaps open and slams shut (as you point out above)

    3. your window opens but the focus is NOT in the selector field so you can't type "foo" to search for "food" items

MADDENING! But virtually impossible to file a bug. Perhaps if some Unity person notices this post we can get them to actually talk to whoever is responsible for this noobie UI bug and get it fixed sometime soon.

Thanks Kurt! at least I know I'm not the only one. Will try submitting a bug report, see if it gets reproduced / fixed.
