Vector Images becoming blurry, pixelated when imported into Unity.

Hi all!

Anyone have an issue with your vector drawing becoming blurry in unity, especially when you adjust the scaling or adjust the pixels per unit.

I used Illustrator to make a background image. I saved the image as a .png and when I view the .png in explorer, I can increase the size of it 10 fold without it being pixelated. In Unity however the same .png image is pixelated.

How do you import vectorized images in .png form into unity without the image becoming pixelated?

Yes, sorry didn't want to upload the full thing. It actually looks much worse than that when upscaled in the scene and game view.

I must be doing something wrong, just don't know what.

 

Try to change the Filter Mode.

 

I have tried both bilinear and trilinear for the filter mode and both are worse than the point option.

 

EDIT:

Okay in case anyone else has a similar problem, I found so far the best solution.

Since my image is a pretty big 4269 x 2556, I should have had the Max Size set to "4096" instead of "1024". Doing this has eliminated 95% of the blur.
