Games Valley of the Foxes

    Hello fellow unity developers!
    For over a year I've been working on a game called: Valley of the Foxes. I am happy to start this thread so I can finally show you the progress I've made.

    Game is based upon popular titles such as: PUBG and RUST. These games gave me inspiration to work on my own battleground driven game with unique features. There are some major differences which I will slowly reveal as I post updates.

    Having fun on the battleground:

    I didn't shut down server while I was working on a new minimap system. Players are not removed when disconnected. Combine these two and you get fun image with players exactly at the position where you quit game. Plus this is one of the good ways to test your game network performance locally.

    Looks like you've got a lot of features in the steam videos!
    This is pretty great for just a years work.

    Can you describe how a typical match plays out?

    Will there be a circle like in pubg to draw the players together?

    How long would each round last roughly?

    My only concern is that it would take a long time to harvest resources, craft bases and weapons and then you'd lose it all in 5 seconds of combat :p

    Would love to see more, watching this thread.

    Hey Serinx!

    Crafting/gathering resources and even building structures will be removed from the game and one of the reasons why is the one you mentioned. Right now my main focus is to make weapon/gameplay experience as realistic and accurate as much as possible.

    There won't be a circle like in pubg and the round time is not limited(by the players or the time itself), player can choose to stay on the island as long as he wants to...This difference really makes this game stand out from the pubg and other similar battle royal games.
