EDIT: Download it here! Thanks to theANMATOR2b for reminding me.

So, this is the first game I've made that wasn't complete rubbish, or for a game jam. It's a procedurally generated endless runner in which Big Romance discovers that the player is not celebrating Valentine's Day, and decide that the player must be eliminated shown the power of advertising romance. They do this by dropping defective gifts from airships and trapping you inside a canal with ads which belittle you for not contributing to their multi-unquadrillion-Luvcoin profits.

Your only weapon is the Brack Launcher, which fires a massive overcooked cake and requires Brack Mix and Milk to produce a new loaf, and bars of Gimmy-Lyfe chocolate. How long can you survive?

Here's a screenshot of the main menu, as seen by one of the main directors of the Big Romance conglomerate.

Here's what the main level looks like, just as you begin.

I've been working on this on-off since I thought this up on last year's Valentine's Day, and it's the first game I've actually finished. So, give it a try, and let me know what could be improved.

Hey Philip - I think you forgot the link to your game. I found it on your blog but may want to put the link here for convenience. :)

Yes you can work on textures. You are using small textures to big areas.

    Regards,..

That's a good suggestion. A lot of the textures that I used, particularly the chocolate swirl that makes up the canal, were patterns that came with GIMP, mainly because I couldn't find anything better.

Of course, a bad workman blames his tools... :D
