thats gr8 news... looking forward to beta... i was planing to start on some other project but i think i can wait a bit...
cause I love to play my own game I develop. Like if i wont enjoy my own game how can someone else will..

 

Hello, I have this great and well done asset, I have sent you the Invoice number with PM

I know that it has already included the buy/unlock new cars and scenes with currency, but I want to ask how to integrate my own currency, I mean that I am using the IAP Manager PRO asset from asset store and want to use it to be able to buy the cars and scenes with this IAP manager instead of the one included inside the Racing Game Starter kit

So please I want to ask would it be possible to do it ?

The problem I see with this is that the IAP Manager Pro is based on individual buttons, I mean that there should be one different button for each car or scene, so this way the IAP can recognize each one of the object to buy/unlock, but Racing Game Starter kit has just ONE single buy button for all and what changes is the description and prices, not the button.

Hi everybody!

Can somebody help? I have a technical problem with shadows. When I use unity 5.4.1 and import app on iPad soft shadows are fine, but in Unity 5.6.3 and 5.6.4 the shadows looks like waving on the ground when car is moving.
I was looking for solution but I dont know whats going on? There is a new feature in Unity 5.6 or what? On editor looks fine, but on device it looks bad.

Please help!

In v. 1.1.0 theres an option to change wheels colors (via textures files, like body car textures) in main menu. Could you add this cool addon to v2.0?

I think he is very busy finishing the V2.0 so this is why he may not answering now, he maybe could want to finish before the near festive days if possible

 

I hope you are right. If there is a problem with 2.0, and publisher change mind and doesnt want to upgrade the asset, I think that he should tell it. Nothing will happend, but this hope and waiting for something that never will be release - it is not fair.

 

he can also go with upgrade option, most people will upgrade from v1 to v2.0. but free upgrade is always nice

Hi guys, for everyone who are waiting for v2.0, I think that I have bad news. Dont expect to see this update.
Do you remember my previous post few weeks ago, that I wrote to dont expect 2.0 before Christmas? Now it looks that I was right.
But since two days ago, I understand that RGSK is over. No more update. i bought few months ago Fast Traffic System asset. Now, this assset is no more available in the store. Also, developer deleted his account.
The same situation maybe with RGSK.
Intense Gamer did a really good job, his first updates was really good. But last time he gave hope and promises.
I cant see changelog v 2.0 which existes in previous post. It looks like this post was deleted by developer.
Why I write this? Because I want to tell you stop waiting, and look another asset, which help you making racing games. Best regards for all of you guys!

 

What happened two days ago that ended RGSK or is this a suspicion you have? The change log is on page 13 of this thread btw.

Ok, so lets wait one more year to new update rgsk - 2019? But wait - No, maybe 2020.
And for multiplayer one more year. So maybe in 2021 we will see multiplayer in RGSK.
Maybe. Till this time there will have a few better assets than RGSK.
If someone has a time, and dont need to hurry with the projects thats ok.
Second - if someone promises something and then change release date ten (?) times, so I think that something is wrong. But maybe again I talk about insane conlusions.

I am very sorry to say but I am truly disappointed with the way this asset has progressed. I am now fed up with these false promises and lies.

The developer's silence on all this chaos means that the allegations above are true and our money and time both are gone.

Why would he tell us if the asset is dead? It still works, he can still make money off of it.

 

He gave an update not that long ago and said he was sorting a few things out and we'd all know the second that the beta was ready. So now he's off working hard to get everyone the beta. So there is no reason to think this is dead.

Look, I'm the one that pointed out that he told me 2.0 would be ready in 2 weeks and that was over a year ago, but clearly he's not given up and is just taking a very long time to deliver. To his credit he's stopped predicting dates.

 

That's true but that's what he's been saying since 2.0 was announced. Personally, I don't think the asset is dead but it seems to be on that track. There hasn't been activity on his account in two weeks, very slow in responding to support requests on this forum, if he responds at all.

I get it though, his life is not this asset, software development is hard, good things take time etc etc etc. At this point, the only reason I check this forum is to see if the new version gets released at all.

 

Life is hard and so is software development but shouldn't the author tell us about the problems which are causing delay since one year.

Frankly speaking, now I am beginning to suspect that if v2 was just a hoax. Something which never ever started.... Unfortunately, we will never know the reality behind this.

 

I agree with you, that I do not think that he may be trying to hide himself and trying to fool all the 1.0 buyers, is just that in these days are the festive holidays and he may want to have a rest.

I know that it have been a long time waiting for the update, but I think that this is for real, and not something he invented, and as developer you do not know exactly when it going to be finished, only a rough idea, as when finishing it can happen that unexpected things may happen or arise when testing.

I do not think at all that this asset is dead at all, and is still available.

Do not know why he has not told something since 10 December, and there must be a reason, but not think that is something bad related to the asset not being updated.

 

Will he keep enjoying till the next Christmas? Which festive celebration doesn't give one atleast a few minutes to post an update on the forum?

It looks like @Max1982 is right and we will never see the Update. This is a truly heartbreaking incident and it shows us the dark side of Unity Assets and the lies behind them.

 

I told you a few months ago, that we will not see RKSK 2.0 update before Christmas? No one believe me...
But we shouldn't be angry for developer so much, because we paid for asset v.1.1, and this is his goodwill to update this package.
Bad thing is that he gave a hope, and since 10 December he close the support for his asset. I wish he dont delete his asset from asset store and will not close this forum when he login again on his account.
Maybe it is good point to start looking for another racing asset

Totally agree with you guys. I can relate to every mentioned posts of yours. This incident has shaken my belief from the developer community. Some of the developers are so greedy that they don't even value the sentiment of people.

I had purchased this asset just because of v2. Sad week for us!

People want to know what is going on with this asset and they deserve to know. And honestly, most people have run out of patience. If that's an issue for you then just stop following this thread and keep an eye on the asset store for the beta instead.

I don't know what is the relation between you and the developer of this asset but let me clarify one thing, I have not got this asset as a gift and I had paid my hard earned money for it. So, I have the right to know about this update. If you have any problem, then just unsubscribe this thread.

It's not a serious matter. That's where you're all confused. He's been working on this for over a year. It takes time. It'll be done when it's done. If you have the current version then you have what you need to make racing games. Technically he doesn't have to update his asset at all and he isn't obligated to make it for free either. But he's doing both. He's just one guy. Give him a break and take a break and be patient.
