Bug UX regressions

    There was a thread in the 2021.1 beta forum that was archived. It was promising based on feedback with the UI dev but, as of 21.1.1 and 21.2a11, none of the regressions were fixed so I'm reviving this thread.

    an example of regression that I tripped over a few times in a couple minutes: the new search button

    redundant with shortcut, nobody asked for it, breaks habits, eats up space etc... you know the song by now

    a few popups are still modal, for example account, layers, layout, one of them is, don't know which one. repro: click on layers then layout = all good, click on layout then another popup, no cookie still light years ahead of whatever mess we had, so technically more of a straggler
