[UX Improvement] Scene Snapshot

Most other assets have a snapshot taken of what they look like, scenes don't.

Why not take a snapshot of a scene that can work as a thumbnail, or let the player take/create a snapshot of the scene?

OK I'm referring to the lack of a thumbnail icon for scenes in the project folder.

 

You can check when a scene saves using AssetModificationProcessor.OnWillSaveAssets(). When that is called take the screenshot and name it the same as the scene name, path or uuid (however you want to track it.). Then use EditorApplication.projectWindowItemOnGUI() to display the image on the asset in project window. You can store the refs in editor prefs.
