Whenever I use a few important lights it seems to start lagging my entire project, even with just adding in one important light. I was wondering if there are any settings I could change or alter to fix this issue? Or is baking the lights the only option ?

what are the specs on your PC? I can add about 20 or 30 before I start going below 60 fps. Maybe lowering the per pixel quality of the lights will help.

What are the settings you uses for your light(s)? Some screen-shots of the scene could also help understanding where's the issue's at.

If you're using 1 important light like a Sun-based light on a big scene with many objects casting shadows in real time as well as well as having like 2000 meters rendered with no optimization or LOD, it would be normal to have some issues with that single light.

If you're writing about a light that only affect a dozen of objects on a 10-30 meters distance, there's really something wrong.

To help you without going through the whole basics of light, we would need more informations about your issues. ;)

The issue I'm having effects the entire scene even if it's just a single important light on the opposite end of the map ( which isnt the sun ), seems weird because I havent had issues like this in the past. Also limited number of objects that the light casts on

What shader are you using? Is it a custom shader or something from Unity source?
