    Hello,

I read a lot of threads on this issue, but never got a clear idea of the answer so:

Are image effects (namely Bloom and Crease) supported on Android at all or not?

If I create a new simple project and set the target platform to android they are disabled automatically and the debug log states they are not supported for the current platform. Does this mean no image effects will work on Android period?

    Thanks,

    Ben

They should work if you have selected OpenGL ES 2.0. But they are most likely too slow for general use.

Now, I just installed Unity 5.0.0 and it seams Bloom effect are disabled on Android at least. In Editor it works fine though. Is this a expected behaviour?

BTW, I tried to make build using OpenGL ES 2.0/3.0 and API 16/18.

Bloom works for me, but as 007 said, they typically don't work well on mid-end devices. If you are targeting high end only and have scenes that are not too complex and conservative image effects, then sometimes you can get away with including a couple.

Im curious, what configuration do you use to achieve bloom on Android?, Im using a GS4 which is a capable device I think, but I cant make the effect work yet.

I have the quality set to good, the effect is on the main camera (enables on run)
Using HTC One M7, Fwd Rendering, Auto Graphics

I have the same problem with Noise and Scratches in Unity 5. The effect works fine on editor. On Android, game still run but i cannot see anything (just black) except noise effect and my UI. I wonder if you've managed to make image effect run on android. Thank you!
