Using a 3D texture to create a shadow map for a particle system

    Hello, nice to meet you guys. I am a newbie here. I myself do not know how to use a 3D texture to create a shadow map for a particle system. Can you guys help me?

    Are you talking about deep shadow maps or some form of volumetric shadow maps? There are examples of these people have written for Unity if you search for them, and even some assets on the store.

    If you’re looking for more information than that, you can track down the original papers they’re based on and look at the implementations. But as is you’re not asking a question specific enough for anyone to be able to be of much help.
