Use Timeline like 'The Movies'?

    There is an awesome old 'game' called The Movies https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Movies?wprov=sfla1
    where you could create scenes that had different 'roles' predefined. For example, a Menacing scene where one actor approaches in a threatening way and another actor screams, for instance. You could then slot different actor instances into these roles.

    Can Timeline do something similar? You predefine some anims/interactions and then at runtime decide which character to assign to the role?

    This is how the timeline / playableDirector pairing works. The playableDirector contains bindings between the tracks and the components they affect. You can have multiple playableDirectors that use the same timeline with different bindings, OR change the binding of a track using PlayableDirector.SetGenericBinding.
