    Hello community.

Can someone tell me from their own experience whether Photoshop can be used for decent texture painting? I create my models with Blender and would like to texture them in Photoshop. Or can you recommend a "simple" alternative for texture painting? I miss layers in Blender itself.

For hand-painted style textures, I recommend Krita (free open source, Windows, Mac., Linux)

Very similar to Photoshop but with a focus on painting rather than photo-editing.

I pay for Photoshop and yet I still use Krita more because it has some great features (for example instant tiling wrap-around mode with 'W' key, and one click layer selecting while holding R key)

Also be sure to check out the included G'Mic filters, amazing stuff.

Wow, Quixel looks really cool. I'll have a closer look to it. I'll also inspect the other suggestions. Thank you very much! Both of you.
