Bug URP Renderer's custom sort axis is not making any changes (bug?)

    I followed along with a video to make sure I was doing it right, but changing the transparency sort axis in the 2D Renderer settings doesn't seem to have any effect.

    I set the changes everywhere that should matter, and yet I notice no changes.

    These are two of the same sprite with no changes between them besides color. As you can see, the red one should be showing up in front, but is not.

    Is this a bug, or have I missed something?

    Have you set the pivots of the objects and changed the sprite renderers’ sort point to pivot?

    it could also just be the sorting layer & sorting order are different among those 2 gameobjects

    They’re the same object, I just hit duplicate and changed the color to make it clear which is which. I changed nothing else.

    I don’t think the sorting point is the issue, because even if I move the objects further apart there’s no reaction.
