Urban Warfare is a online first person shooter being developed by a one man team aiming to create a realistic and fun game play.

    The game currently features
    - dynamic parkour (WIP)
    - Realistic and smooth weapon controls
    - LAN server creation with support for online servers and Hamachi
    - Several game mode types including death match, team death match and capture the flag.
    - Small dynamic object destruction (based of weapon stats and angles)
    - Large scale dynamic destruction (radio masts, satellite dishes)
    Implemented Weapons
    - MP7
    - Glock
    - P250
    - P90
    - LS11A3
    (many more to come)

This screen shot makes me think of some of the older Thomas the Train videos. I don't know what it is - but it just looks like it's a picture of an actual small scale model environment.

Art is nice looking - more please.

It's the focal length of the camera. The effect shown in the screenshots is difficult to do with standard lenses in full-size scenes, but with a camera very close to a small model you can easily put parts in focus and blur others.

@_--_ if you plan on selling this some day, you'll want to avoid using brand names like Glock and actual model names. These properties are copyrighted and/or trademarked and cannot be used without permission.

But what you have looks good so far! More, please!

I think the ground texture is scaled up making it look as if the models are small. Anyway, great idea, looking forward to seeing more!

I'm just glad I wasn't the only one seeing it.

Yes, I agree that those image effects make that environment look small. I will change that.

A short video demonstrating a new parkour feature to Urban Warfare. Still a work in progress. The parkour system checks the height of the object using a raycast and then calculates which height to move the player two as well as calculating which animation. There are still many ways I improve upon this.

It's really not a bad effect - I know it doesn't fit the game your creating, but for maybe another application it looks really cool. ;)

Agreed. Because of that shot, though, I totally missed the fact the game was an FPS. In my head, it was an RTS type game played from a top-down perspective. I don't want to say I was disappointed to see in the next update that it was an FPS, but the visual effect making everything seem miniaturized got me strangely excited for some reason.
