    Hey everyone.

(Sorry if this has been asked before but some googling didn`t turn up any results)

Currently I am developing a game using unity free (my first with Unity) and I am really impressed with Unity so far. I am planning to buy some assets from the asset store soon and I am also considering upgrading to Unity pro in the future (when version five is released)

Which brings me on to my question(s) :

    • If I buy some assets now for Unity free, will I be able to use them if I upgrade to Unity Pro? (The assets I want to buy total nearly $300 so I really don`t want to have to buy them twice)

    • If I upgrade to Unity Pro before I finish my project, Will I be able to open it in Pro and continue working on it?

Again sorry if this has been asked before.

    Regards.

just make sure you purchase pro under the same user account you use for your assets.

I did just the opposite, created a new account just for purchasing Pro and have no problems accessing my store account. I'm quite sure the license manager doesn't care about your store account :)

The license manager doesn't. I was just assuming you'd want it to be the same so you could access the asset store from within the editor, but I suppose you could enter different account information.
