Upgrading to Entities 5.0 Render Pipeline config issue. Help Please.

    Just upgraded my project to Entities 0.5.0. Using Unity 2020.3.30F1.
    Worked thru all the needed changes however when I run my project dealing with flickering and receive a single ERROR that is worthless:

    "It looks like the 'Render Pipeline' is not correctly set in the config. Please make sure to select the proper value depending on your pipeline in use."

    Any help would be appreciated.

    URP or HDRP?

    for URP I also have some strange visuals in the editor, but they are not there in the build. (this might just be my URP setup)

    In the Project settings you can set the render pipeline in the "Graphics" and in the "Quality -> Rendering". hybridRenderer V2 is now default, so build-in render pipeline does not work anymore.

    Using URP 10.9.0.
    Before the upgrade I was already using hybridRenderer V2 by using the scripting define symbol:
    ENABLE_HYBRID_RENDERER_V2
    I understand that is not needed anymore as its the only one now.

    There is no Entities 5.0
    Did you meant 0.50?

    I think 5.0 is not quite on Joe's roadmap right now. Maybe later!

    Can anyone at unity let me know what this error means? Someone wrote it but can't find any reference to it.
    I have a default URP asset set as Scriptable Render Pipeline Settings in the graphics section. I don't see any other config settings pertaining to SRP.

    Do you have a HYBRID_RENDERER_V2 define or anything like that? You would want to remove that and make sure your hybrid package is up to date. Changing Entities to 0.50 is the first step, and in my case it was all I needed to do.

    I do not have HYBRID_RENDERER_V2, I am using Entities 0.50.1. I would downgrade to Entities to 0.50.0 but can't figure out how. I click the update to 0.50.0 but it stays 0.50.1.

    Entities 0.50.1 is the current version you should use, but only with Unity 2020.3 LTS.

    Just make sure you have assigned URP asset properly in graphics settings.

    Thanks for trying to help, all of that matches. I am not new to unity or using preview packages. Typically I wouldn't ask for help but all I have to go on is this circular error that doesn't point anywhere.

    Hi, I've just solved this, in my case, it was a plug-in that needed to be updated (VolumetricLightBeam), hope this helps
